White Plains Senior High School Reviews

I have children that attend this school. After graduating from one of the middle schools they adjusted very well. I have found that teachers really do care for their students at this school and there is always extra time that they can go to receive extra help from before school, during study halls and even after. There are a wide range in electives and clubs that can't be found in private schools. If you are worried about your children being challenged enough, almost every course have 3 levels, ranging from a two year class program, a one year regents program and the honors program, beginning in sophomore year students can begin to take AP classes. This can be a wonderful school if you work hard for your education.

if you really want to do good in school, you can. you cant use the excuse of, oh the techers are mean, they dont care, i couldnt find the right classes for me, because those are lies. it is a great school, and a really eventful one too. theres clubs for everything, and about 4 levels of hardness for each class. it also teaches you a lot about the real world, because trust me youll see everything in that school. im only in my sophomore year and i love it.

Had one of the best experiences of my life here. Learned a lot from other students and teachers. Didn't regret a single day there.

White Plaians Senior High is absolutely the worst school I have had the misfortune to experience. While there are a few teachers who do care, they are a minority. Evidently, a substitute need not know the subject of the class for which they are substituting, but one would think that the school would want to find a proper fill in - not at WPSHS. I am appalled by the lack of concern for the students. I cannot think of one positive word to say about this school. I recommend to all - if you can afford a private school, send your child to one...if you cannot, move to another area or take out a loan. I have just taken on another job and a loan to get my child out of this school.

This school is exellent and my child enjoys it alot. She gets Straight As and she say the teachers really care.

White Plains HS has a large and diverse student body. It offers various classed according to the students ability and needs. The size of the school may be intimidating at the beginning but the teachers and administrator are very helpful in helping the student adjust. Overall, it's a good high school especially for the motivated student.

The balance of great and terrible teachers is relatively equal. The number of different clubs and sports is amazing, and just as good, if not better, than any other schools in the area.

the academics are very good because the comprehensive work of the teachers.

Well this school is the best school you could ever go to because it offers alot of diferent things sports, clubs, musicals and alot more. It has a great number of people of different countryes so is you could put your son or daughter in this school do it is the best thing it could happen to your kids.

I would like to e-mail my old alumini first hand to let them know what a fine education was afforded me and if it wasn't for the excellent teachers who took that extra special time with me, then I surely would not have been the success that I am today. I also have many copies of the school newspaper (The Orange) that I want to send them as memorabilia.
